- Red, cinnamon candy
- White beans
- Corn syrup
- White sprinkles
Research Question: What makes up your blood?
Experimental Procedure:
- Pour the corn syrup into the bottle or container, filling it 1/3 full. If using a bowl, you can add more corn syrup so that it is 1/2 or 2/3 full.
- Add a handful of the red, cinnamon candy to your bottle or container.
- Next, grab a smaller handful or white beans and add those to your bottle or container.
- Then add a handful of white sprinkles to your bottle or container.
- If your bottle or container has a top, add it now and then gently swirl or shake it so that all of the components mix together.
- Now observe the mixture. The Plasma = the corn syrup, the Red Blood Cells = Red, cinnamon candy, the White Blood Cells = White beans, and the Platelets = White sprinkles.
